Two railways leaving Lisbon in direction to the coastline. This tour starts and ends on the final stations of both railways. Beginning with a long and easy downhill from the world herritage of Sintra (150 m) to the marvelous coastline. Once we climbed up to the Serra de Sintra (120m) we get some great views from the rough cliffs arround the Lighthouse of Cabo da Roca before we roll down to the the windy surfspots of Guincho. There we find a comfortable bycicle lane that leads us until Cascais where we can take the urban train back to Lisbon.
Sintra - Ericera - Sintra

Leaving Sintra to the north we find a wide ranche of unpaved roads and singletrails. Driving on top of the cliffs, through untouched forrests and rural countrysides, relaxing on lonesome beaches, crossing small rivers, grap fruits from the trees, check our bike skills on steep downhills and physical conditions on tough climbs to search our limits! Don´t miss this if you want to experience the region of Gran Lisboa by bike!
Oriente - Unhas - Oriente

Pretty close to the Oriente Bus- & Trainstation the City of Lisbon ends and the rural Portugal beginns. The former Expo area offers a great opportunity to leave the city on the most easiest and calmest way: along the wide Rio Tejo. After a few kilometers we can already find unpaved but flat roads crossing fields and backyards.
It´s suprisingly easy to leave Lisbon by bike without a big effort and almost free of any uphills!
Oriente - Loures - Oriente
half day tour
distance aprox. 30 km

In the north of the City landscape is getting hilly and lonesome. Far away from all the touristical sides and the crowded beaches Lisbon ends and Portugal starts. Sometimes the hills offers a few until Sintra and a great overview to the city! Where else can you see Palacio de Pena and the bridges 25 de Mayo & Vasco de Gama at the same time?
